네 기둥이 뜻하는 것
연주(年柱) — 조상과 어린 시절, 큰 배경이 되는 환경
월주(月柱) — 부모·형제, 사회적 기반과 청년기

오행이란?

목→화→토→금→수→목 나무는 불을 살리고, 불은 흙(재)을 만들고, 흙은 금속을 품고, 금속은 물을 머금고, 물은 나무를 키워요.

What is Saju?
Saju (四柱), also known as BaZi or the Four Pillars of Destiny, is a traditional East Asian system that reads a person's temperament and life patterns through four "pillars" built from their birth year, month, day, and hour. Each pillar pairs a Heavenly Stem (representing celestial energy) with an Earthly Branch (representing terrestrial energy).
What each pillar represents
Year Pillar — ancestry, early childhood, and the broader environment you were born into
Month Pillar — parents and siblings, your social foundation, and young adulthood
Day Pillar — yourself and your partner; the most central pillar in the whole chart
Hour Pillar — children and the later chapters of life
The Heavenly Stem of the Day Pillar — your Day Master — is considered the character that represents "you." When DestiniX says "your Day Master is Jia (甲)," it's using that single character as the anchor for describing your broader personality.
The Five Elements
The Five Elements (Wu Xing) divide the world's energy into Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Every Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch in a Saju chart belongs to one of these five, and the way they generate (feed) or control (restrain) one another forms the backbone for reading a person's temperament and relationships.
Generating cycle (mutual support)
Wood → Fire → Earth → Metal → Water → Wood Wood fuels Fire, Fire creates Earth (ash), Earth bears Metal, Metal collects Water, and Water nourishes Wood.
Controlling cycle (mutual restraint)
Wood → Earth, Earth → Water, Water → Fire, Fire → Metal, Metal → Wood Wood depletes Earth's nutrients, Earth dams Water, Water douses Fire, Fire melts Metal, and Metal chops Wood.
DestiniX's Five Elements chart shows which energies are strong or missing across your eight (or six) characters. Having too much of one element, or none of another, is often read as an area of life that could use more balance.
The Ten Gods
The Ten Gods describe the relationship every other character in your chart has with "you" (your Day Master), grouped into five categories. DestiniX shows this breakdown in the "See more detail" section of your personal reading.
Friends (比劫) — the same element as you: independence, allies, or rivals
Output (食傷) — the element you generate: expression, activity, creativity
Wealth (財星) — the element you control: money, achievement, practical results
Officer (官星) — the element that controls you: responsibility, discipline, social standing
Resource (印星) — the element that generates you: learning, support, a sense of stability
More Friends and Resource tends to point toward a "strong" chart, while more Output, Wealth, and Officer tends toward a chart that draws its strength from its surroundings. A strong chart tends to judge for itself and push forward under its own steam; a supported chart tends to be flexible and draw strength from relationships.
Nobleman Stars, Stars & the Void
If the Five Elements and Ten Gods are the skeleton of a Saju reading, "shensha" (神殺) — nobleman stars, stars, and void markers — are an older layer of theory that assigns special meaning to specific character combinations. Different schools calculate and interpret them slightly differently; DestiniX uses simplified versions of the more widely used methods. Having one doesn't lock in a fixed fate — treat it as one interesting "tendency" worth knowing about.
Nobleman Star (Tianyi Guiren)
The single most auspicious of the shensha. It's determined by whether specific Earthly Branches appear alongside your Day Master. Having it suggests unexpected help or a lucky break arriving exactly when you need it most — the origin of the old expression "meeting your nobleman."
Peach Blossom Star (Dohwa)
Determined by the "Triple Harmony" group your Day (or Year) Branch belongs to. It represents charm, popularity, and romantic appeal. For artists or public-facing careers it's often read as a talent; taken too far, it can tip into scattered romance or gossip.
Traveling Horse Star (Yeokma)
Determined by the same Triple Harmony grouping, this star's name literally means "post horse" — movement and change. It points to a life with plenty of travel, relocation, studying abroad, or business trips, and is often an asset in active careers.
Canopy Star (Hwagae)
Also determined by the Triple Harmony grouping, this star's name evokes a ceremonial canopy — artistic talent alongside a philosophical or spiritual streak. It favors creative, academic, or contemplative pursuits, often paired with a taste for solitude.
Blade Star (Yangin)
Calculated only for "yang" Day Masters (Jia, Bing, Wu, Geng, Ren). True to its name — "blade" — it represents strong drive, competitiveness, and decisiveness. It's an asset in careers needing split-second strength (military, athletics, surgery), but that intensity needs to be kept in check emotionally.
Leadership Star (Goegang)
Appears with specific Day Pillar combinations like Geng-Chen, Geng-Xu, Ren-Chen, Ren-Xu, or Wu-Xu. It suggests sharp intellect and strong charisma alongside extreme swings — often linked to big achievements alongside big setbacks, and frequently an asset in leadership roles.
White Tiger Star (Baekho)
Appears with specific stem-branch combinations like Jia-Chen, Yi-Wei, Bing-Xu, Ding-Chou, Wu-Chen, Ren-Xu, or Gui-Chou. Traditionally read as a warning about accidents or sudden events; modern interpretations reframe it as strong vitality and crisis resilience.
Resentment Pair (Wonjin)
Appears when specific Branch pairs occur together — Zi-Wei, Chou-Wu, Yin-You, Mao-Shen, Chen-Hai, or Si-Xu. It describes relationships where small things build into quiet resentment for no clear reason, and comes up often in marriage or romantic compatibility readings. Expressing feelings as they happen, rather than letting them pile up, is the traditional remedy.
The Void (Gongmang)
Determined by which "decade" (旬) of the 60-term Sexagenary cycle your Day Pillar falls into — each decade has two Branches left "empty." True to the name, a Void area can feel like it's never quite filled no matter what you do — or, read the other way, a place where you're free from attachment.
Lonely Star (Gosin)
Determined by the season your Year Branch falls in. True to its name, it suggests time spent apart from a partner or loved ones, or a life that finds comfort in solitude. Traditionally discussed around marriage compatibility; modern readings often frame it as valuing independence and personal time.
Widow's Star (Gwasuk)
The counterpart to the Lonely Star, calculated the same way but looking at a different Branch. It carries a similar theme of solitude or a delayed relationship, though it can also favor periods of study and self-development.
Traditional Chinese astrology includes many more shensha beyond these — like the Literary Star (Munchang Guiren) or the Romance Star (Hongyan) — and different schools calculate them differently. Zodiac Signs
In Western astrology, your zodiac (sun) sign is determined by which zodiac constellation the sun was passing through on your birth date. Each of the 12 signs belongs to one of four elements — Fire, Earth, Air, or Water — and that element sets the broad direction of the sign's temperament.

Earth signs
Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn — grounded and practical.
Air signs

Tarot is a 78-card deck (22 of them the Major Arcana) used to symbolically reflect on your current situation and state of mind. The cards don't determine the future on their own — they're a tool that helps you organize your own thinking through the symbolism in each image.
